Fund for the promotion of innovation in agriculture (i4Ag)
The Fund to promote innovation in agriculture (i4Ag) is a fund supported by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) in the special initiative One World Without Hunger (SEWOH), which aims to promote gender sensitive and sustainable innovations in the agri-food sector. In the context of the fund, innovations are understood to be digital, technical, organizational, administrative and/or financial products, processes, services, technologies and/or business models.
Reframe in action
i4Ag required a digital system to manage grants, innovations, events and partner organisations as well as to aggregate data across 89 countries and 29 projects up to a fund level. Reframe is used as an integrated digital monitoring, grant management and project steering tool, which is specifically designed to track the implementation of each project within the fund. The system provides individual permission schemes for users, allowing for collaboration across different workspaces with internal and external colleagues, while adhering to data security measures. Moreover, the software integrates information related to various sets of indicators from GIZ, BMZ and SEWOH to assist with reporting. Interactive and real-time dashboards allow users to analyse and filter data in an accessible manner and derive meaningful insights.
